The maternal instinct is quite powerful in all animals, including humans, and not even biological obstacles can stop it from flourishing.
A highly unusual instance of mother instinct was given on a farm where many sorts of animals are cared for, from huge ones like cows to little kittens and chicks.
When the farmer visited his barn and observed one of his chickens warming her nest with her chicks within, he thought it was typical because hens heat their nest not only to incubate their eggs, but also for several weeks after they are born. in order to keep them warm
When the farmer started hearing small meows from the chicks, he realized they were actually four young cats.
To clarify the matter, the owner of all these adorable animals claims that one of the farm cats chose to give birth to four small kittens in the hen’s nest while she was away.
The amusing portion of the story comes when the hen returns to her nest and encounters these adorable kittens, for whom she inexplicably fell in love and chose to sit on them to keep them warm.
The hen had such much motherly love for her offspring that she would not let the mother cat come close to them again. Even the farmer tried to intercede and pull the hen away from the kittens, but this adoptive mother appeared to go insane if they took her away from her. their small children
After a while, the hen calmed down and decided to share the babies with their original mother, but just to be fed and washed.
The hen eventually produced her own brood and seemed to abandon her great devotion to the kittens that were not hers. She apparently just need a few little children to whom she could devote her undivided attention.
According to the farmer, all of the kittens, as well as their mother, the hen, and the new chicks, are doing well.
When viewing little newborn animals that appear to have been “abandoned,” such as this chicken, it is soothing to observe how the mother instinct of animals works.
