Jude Bellingham is already an icon of world football. And so the Adidas brand considered him the champion of its most iconic product line: Predator. English stars such as Gerrard or Beckham have worn these boots to celebrate their 30th birthdays, but Bellingham is clear about the footballer who best represents the silhouette: “Zidane is one of the pre-best defenders in history”.
“I hope to preserve the legacy of his shirt number (5) and his shoes,” he said of the current French coach. Perhaps the most obvious comparison that comes to mind is Bellingham. “I hope there are many great moments ahead, continuing the legacy of these shoes, of this brand, and trying to inspire the next generation after me. Before Zidane, Beckham, or Gerrard did it then and now it is my responsibility and pride and I hope to enjoy it,” the Real Madrid player added.
“It’s a matter of mentality, what these players have in common is the ability to perform in the best situations, in big matches, and that’s why you are judged in football.”
“It’s natural to win titles like Golden Boy, I’ve been runner-up twice and the truth is I don’t like it. You take it personally when you don’t win. For me, it’s Just keep trying, keep trying and I finally got there,” he said of his recent nomination as the best U21 football player in the world. And he warns: “I’m still learning, growing, and trying to get better every day and push my limits.”
