Vinicius Jr leaves the field injured during Brazil’s World Cup Qualifier vs Colombia
In the first half, the Real Madrid winger suffered a hamstring injury.
Shortly after Vinicius Jr. assisted Gabriel Martinelli in scoring the first goal of Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Colombia on Thursday night, the Real Madrid winger was forced off the pitch with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.
Following a brief assessment on the field by the team physicians, Vinicius went down clutching his hamstring. A substitution was then performed, and Vinicius exited the field with a clearly irritated expression.
The good news is that the Brazilian, albeit undoubtedly with some difficulty, managed to leave the field on his own. He received quick care for his left leg as soon as he hit the bench.
The injury took place off of the ball. There was no obstacle to overcome. Vinicius fell while jogging by himself and grabbed his hamstring.
Real Madrid’s injury situation has been atrocious this season. Due to a hamstring injury, Vinicius has already missed four games this season. Just this international break has seen Jude Bellingham leave the England squad owing to a shoulder ailment, and Eduardo Camavinga suffer a knee injury during France’s training session.
Real Madrid is fortunate to get Dani Ceballos and Bellingham back following the international break, but Carlo Ancelotti’s starting lineup is gradually getting thinner.
